Brotherhood of Man, The

Published 1946

Based on the pamphlet The Races of Mankind, by Ruth Benedict and Gene Weltfish. An animated cartoon. Explains that there are no basic differences between the races of the world, and uses small green demons to caricature prejudice and racial hatred. Relates the history of mankind to point out that dissimilarities in peoples result from superficial environmental influences.

Subject: What's the problem, Joe?
Another oversimplified movie about race and how everyone is the same underneath the skin. A white man with periodic appearing eyes (you'd have to see the film in order to fully understand what I mean) has an inner racist conscience wanting to beat up anyone with funny looking skin, but luckily, Mr. Narrator straightens everyone out. Pretty straightforward, but horrendously animated.
